Audre The Artist

I am involved in using a mixed-media approach in my paintings. I usually work on Yupo, a plastic manmade paper and have recently returned to working on canvas. My paintings incorporate collage techniques, acrylics, dyes, oil pastels and stamping. Whimsical animals are my favorite subject to paint, although currently I have been working with layering techniques that use geometric forms. An emphasis is on color and movement.

Audrey Marans received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, Maryland. She was an art teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools , St. Elizabeth School, in Rockville, Maryland, and Mc Neal Elementary, in Manatee County, Florida.
